I found this quote while traveling to Waco, Texas.
“…But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”
It was and is absolutely fitting. Our goal for this year is about being intentional – while being intentional I’ve also taken the time to reflect on where we started, how far we have come and where we want to be in the future. As we celebrate another year as C & A, I can’t help but feel nostalgic. It has been a crazy ride for the last eight years, we are in the midst of a very busy wedding season but I wouldn’t change any of it. We learn from every couple and every wedding. Weddings are an emotional time- they can be stressful, they can be anxiety filled or even sappy – that’s okay. Feel those emotions, lean on those you love and trust. Each and every couple touches our lives, adds to our story and teaches us something. We have numerous weddings under our belt as well as a massive relaunch of our company after moving to New York in 2013. New York is our home, C & A is thriving here, we are happy here. Counting my blessings and feeling incredibly thankful for this journey. Have you taken the time to think about where is your journey taking you? What have you taken away from your journey?
This photograph is from July 1, Marisa & Stephen were genuinely sweet and have such a beautiful little family. Their love for one another, for their children and their families is a reminder of why we do what we do. 💓
