As we bid adieu to the unprecedented year that was 2020, we find ourselves reflecting on the countless love stories that persevered in the face of adversity. Today, we’re honored to share another chapter in the journey of one of our remarkable couples, Jessie and Andy.

Their story is one of resilience, love, and unwavering commitment—a testament to the power of love to transcend even the most challenging of circumstances. Despite the uncertainties and upheavals brought about by the global pandemic, Jessie and Andy remained steadfast in their determination to say “I do” on their original wedding date of July 18, 2020.

In a beautiful, intimate ceremony set against the backdrop of a weeping willow tree on the banks of the East River, Jessie and Andy exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family members. It was a moment of profound significance, a testament to their enduring love and the strength of their bond.

While their immediate family stood by their side, the rest of their loved ones watched on via Zoom—a virtual celebration that brought together friends and family from near and far, despite the physical distance separating them. It was a poignant reminder of the power of technology to bridge the gap and unite us in moments of joy and celebration.

For Jessie and Andy, the phrase “reception to follow” took on a whole new meaning. While their wedding day may have looked different than originally envisioned, their love shone brightly, illuminating the path forward with hope and optimism. And as they look ahead to the future, they eagerly anticipate the day when they can gather with their loved ones once more to celebrate their love in person.

In Jessie’s own words, “We can’t wait to celebrate our love with our family and friends once it’s safe.” It’s a sentiment that resonates deeply with us all—a reminder that love endures, even in the face of uncertainty, and that brighter days are always on the horizon.

As we reflect on Jessie and Andy’s journey, we’re reminded of the resilience and strength that lies within each of us. Their love story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration, lighting the way forward with love, joy, and unwavering determination.

Here’s to Jessie and Andy, and to all the couples who refused to let a global pandemic dim the light of their love. May your journey together be filled with countless moments of joy, laughter, and boundless love, today and always.

From Jessie – “After being engaged for a year and a half, we decided a global pandemic wasn’t going to get in our way of getting married on our original wedding date of July 18, 2020.  In the shade of a Randall’s Island weeping willow tree, on the banks of the East River, our immediate family joined us as we exchanged vows and officially tied the knot while the rest of our family and friends watched on Zoom.  Giving “reception to follow” a whole new meaning- we can’t wait to celebrate our love with our family and friends once it’s safe!”
