This is such an important wedding planning tip. We don’t have to tell you that planning a wedding is never simple. So many aspects could be considered grey areas when it comes to wedding planning, however, contracts are black and white. Always always get it in writing. If you make any changes to your vendor agreements – it is extremely important to get the agreement updated with signatures from yourselves + the vendor. It is also helpful to get an email confirming the change – do not just assume everything is set.
A well-written contract protects you in two critical ways:
- it locks in the pricing you have agreed on, and
- it spells out exactly what you’re purchasing, eliminating any surprise changes to fees or services.
