Several years ago The Knot did a study and found that 78 percent of weddings occur between May and October. Our wedding season in NY has always been the busiest from May to October. There are plenty of reasons why couples prefer summer and fall weddings – the temperatures, the outdoor venues, the picturesque backdrops – but there are some major perks in opting for a winter wedding.

It’s cozy and romantic. Fun winter touches.

Winter inspires warmth and cozy conversations. Treat your guests to cold-weather indulgences, like a hot chocolate station or cigar bar. Warm up your ceremony or reception by offering blankets or using venue fireplaces.

Availability of venues – – winter weddings are far less popular that it is less competitive in booking. Many locations are just as, if not more, beautiful in the winter.

Let’s not forget the foliage – – Evergreens, birch wood, winter berries, pinecones and snowy eucalyptus are among some of the most lovely textures you can choose.

All in all, choose the best season and date that is best for YOU! Your wedding day is all about your life together as a married couple, so do just that!
